Irene Staknys Papanikolaou-President Born in Golden, Colorado USA
Raised in Colonia, New Jersey USA
Graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology(State University of NY), New York City, NY. Degree in fashion buying and merchandising.7 years as Accessories buyer for t.Edward's , 100 store high fashion chain
based in NYC.
First came to Parga in 1988.
Currently buyer/owner of Enigma Jewelry in Parga.
Married to Petros Papanikolaou, 2 sons, Basilis and Sotiris, and
1 big dog named Ramon!

Sandra Collins Dokou- General secretary

I was born in Leeds, England and had very different experiences career wise in my 25 years there. They include Restaurant Chef, Sales Manager and Bar work whilst at College for 2 years studying Marketing. Eventually I left a position in the Water Board to live permanently here in Parga.

I have been here since 1990, I have 4 children and am now involved in our family business. I was involved in the founding of the Society because I believe that so much experience and different cultures can be put to good use in the Community.

I totally enjoy being involved as a member of the Board and hope we can introduce new and exciting things to Parga.

Christina Johansen- Board member

I was born in Oslo, Norway, in 1976. I lived there until I finished school.

Then I moved to Milwaukee, USA, and worked as a nanny there.

When I came back to Norway I started to study psychology and after a year of that studied to be a real estate agent. After I finished my education I spent some time travelling all over the world. For the next 4 years I worked as a sales agent for different companies, Telenor Media AS, H&M and Integrated Norge AS.

I came to Parga first time in 2001 on holidays. I came back the next year to work and I met Sotiris, we are now engaged, and I never left:)

In 2002 and 2004 I worked in Porto Bar and in 2003 I worked in Castello Restaurant.

After that I started to work with Sotiris in his coffee shop. We now run the shop together.

I joined The Link to meet new people and because I believe that we can do great things together.

Achilleas Tsatsos- Board member

Achilleas Tsatsos was born in the village of Aydonia, in the Fanari region of Preveza. He and his 9 siblings worked in his father’s fields, as did most of the youth in those days.

When he realized village life was not for him, Achilleas began working on ships at the age of 14. Life on board proved to be not what he was looking for, and Achilleas ended up as an immigrant in Australia, where he worked by day and went to high school at night.

Achilleas discovered karate through the local gymnastics academy in Australia. His love for the sport, combined with an intensive workout program, gave him the privilege of becoming a member of the Australian National Karate Squad. He won many championship titles in his new homeland.

In 1989, Achilleas decided to return to Greece, and he has dedicated his life to athletics ever since. Many a young child has passed through his various karate schools and have gone on to earn black belts.He has taught students who have become karate trainers themselves. He has had many students who have succeeded on the local, national and international levels of the sport , and has had numerous students become members of the Greek National Karate Squad.
