Did you know that the Library is now open to all?

We have now opened library membership to all without having to fully join the Link Society. However a small charge of 5 Euros (per year) will be made for temporary Library membership. So If you need a new book to read on the beach (or elsewhere) why not come along and see what's on our shelves?

If you are coming on holiday and don't want that extra weight eating into your baggage allowance by carrying books, we're confident that we can suit most tastes with our collection! The Library opening hours are:
WEDNESDAYS
10am to 11 am

FRIDAYS
6.00 pm to 7.00pm

The Link members on Greek National Television!

Last night on the Greek state channel, ERT3, a television program called "Real Stories" featured members of the LINK, explaining in Greek and in English about their lives in Parga. According to popular opinion, the piece was very well received by the locals in Parga, and for all who particpated youall deserve a big "congratulations"!! The show may be repeated again for those who did not see it, otherwise there will be a dvd in the Link offices for anyone who would like to view it.

Blood Donors !!!

There will be a blood donors session on Saturday 27th beginning at 09.00am until 13.00pm at the Health Centre here in Parga.
There are certain criteria for being a blood donor, a couple of which are as follows:

You must be under 62 OR have been a long term blood donor.
Please avoid alcohol the previous evening.
Have a good nights sleep and a good breakfast before you go.
If you have taken any medication in the passed week eg aspirin.
If you have had any coughs, colds etc recently.

There are other criteria but these are the most common.

Please try to be there because you never know when you or a loved one may need blood yourselves!!

National Holiday

Just to let you all know that the 25th March is a National Holiday and everything, everywhere will be closed. There will be the usual Parade in the harbour by the school children at around 11.00am.

The International Library

You will all be pleased to know that the long awaited international lending library for all members of the Society is now up and running. Opening hours are as follows:

Wednesday: 10.00am-11.00am

Friday:   18.00pm-20.00pm.

Please all come along, there are refreshments and good company !! Also please let all your friends know that they can join the Society and make full use of the library as well.   Any changes in opening hours for the summer season will be announced at the time.
